If you have never camped with the Fam, you might picture a normal festival campsite: rows of anonymous tents, nobody talking, everyone fending for themselves.

Base Camp is the opposite.

A shared front door

When you arrive, someone will probably say hi before you finish unzipping your bag. Admins and volunteers keep an eye out for newcomers, and regulars are genuinely happy to see a new face.

The Hangout

This is our shared social area. There are flags, maybe some tape-art, chairs or crates, and always people. It is where the daily meet happens, where games get organized and where someone is usually offering coffee or a snack.

Meals happen together

The Family Dinner before the festival is a highlight: an all-food buffet where you finally meet the people you have been chatting with online. Group lunches and random food runs happen all week.

Help is part of the culture

Left your charger at home? Tent pole snapped? Someone has tape. Need advice on which stage to hit? Ask the group. Base Camp works because people help each other.

The only thing you need to bring is yourself, your gear and a willingness to say hello.
