Sziget is huge. The Fam makes it feel smaller by giving you a home base, a daily meet and people who know where to be.
Before you arrive
Save the Base Camp page, join the chats and introduce yourself before travel day.
When you land
Look for the Fam flag and the wall of flags at Base Camp. That is the landmark.
Every afternoon
Meet the group at 15:00 for photos, updates, new arrivals and the day plan.

What the week can feel like
You can do the full island, do nothing, dance until sunrise or spend the afternoon helping at camp. You are allowed to choose your own pace.

Frequently asked questions
Sziget 2026 runs from August 5 to August 11, 2026 on Óbuda Island, Budapest. Gates open on Wednesday and the island closes on Tuesday morning.
Budapest has two main airports (BUD is the international one). Trains and buses connect from all over Europe. The island is a short walk from the city center or a quick tram ride.
Absolutely. Most of the Fam arrive solo and leave with friends from all over the world. That’s the whole point. Join the WhatsApp group before you go and you’ll already know people when you arrive.
Yes, you need a valid Sziget ticket to enter the festival. The Fam is a community within Sziget, not a separate event. Once you have your ticket, you can join us at Base Camp.
Base Camp location is shared in the WhatsApp group before the festival. Look for the Fam flag and the wall of country flags. It’s usually near a central camping area with shade and power.
Tent, sleeping bag, earplugs, cash/card, refillable water bottle, power bank, sunscreen, and a flag from your country if you want to add it to the wall. Most importantly: bring a good mood.
